Meet Matthew A. Bajakian
Matthew A. Bajakian is an attorney at Botti Marinaccio, Ltd. where he concentrates his practice in divorce and family law litigation. He represents clients in a broad range of domestic relations matters, including complex property division, high asset divorce, maintenance, child support, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, and post-decree enforcement and modification proceedings.
Prior to joining Botti Marinaccio, Ltd. Matt served as Division Attorney to the Presiding Judge of the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. In this position, he conducted extensive legal research, drafted judicial orders and opinions, and assisted in the development and refinement of court procedures and forms. His experience working within one of the nation's largest unified court systems provided him with valuable insight into the judicial process, courtroom procedures, and the legal and practical considerations involved in resolving complex family law disputes.
Matt earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2022. During law school, he participated in the Family Advocacy Clinic, where he gained experience representing and advocating for parents and children involved in juvenile abuse and neglect proceedings.

From August 2022 to March 2024, he played a pivotal role in shaping the legal landscape of family matters. Tasked with drafting opinions and orders for esteemed judges, contributing to the refinement of essential forms, and conducting in-depth legal research, he honed his expertise in every facet of family law.
